"No one is actually breaching," she repeated, as if the words were a small, acceptable compromise. She stood, brushed the tile dust from her trousers, and slung her rifle across her back. The Watchman's lens seemed to track her movement as she passed.

"Twelve seconds," she said softly, and walked into the corridor to count again.
